非英語ラップが自国以外で認知されるようになる遥か以前より、アメリカやヨーロッパで多くのオーディエンスを獲得してきたKaigen（カイゲン）。これまで特異なスタイルが災い（？）し、ラッパーとしての側面ばかりがクローズアップされてきたが、その異能が爆発するのは実はビートメイキングだったのかもしれない。自身初となるインストアルバムは、ヒップホップを軸としながらも初陣にしてカテゴライズ不能な領域に。ロックからジャズ、ファンク、プログレ、サイケ、現代音楽、ワールドミュージックまで、ジャンルや年代に捕らわれない稀有なサンプリング・センスと一筋縄ではいかないドラミングが絡み合うサウンドスケープは、破天荒でありつつも時に抒情的で彩り豊かな調べを奏でる。客演アーティストには、盟友のShing02（シンゴ2）やMeiso（メイソー）をはじめ、レジェンド中のレジェンドであるKool Keith（クール・キース）、Jurassic 5（ジュラシック5）からChali 2na（チャリ・ツナ）とAkil（アキール）、元The Pharcyde（ファーサイド）のFatlip（ファットリップ）、Freestyle Fellowship（フリースタイル・フェローシップ）の屋台骨・Self Jupiter（セルフ・ジュピター）、Blu & Exile（ブルー&エグザイル）として名作を生み出してきたBluといったオールスター級の布陣が名を連ねる。さらにミックスは「Low End Theory（ロー エンド セオリー）」クルーの(DJ) NOBODY（DJノーバディ）、マスタリングはFlying Lotus（フライング・ロータス）やThundercat（サンダーキャット）作品でグラミー賞にもノミネートされるDaddy Kev（ダディー・ケヴ）が担当している。
